(L) Mr. Wolfgang Huppenbauer(left), President & CEO of DaimlerChrysler (Thailand) Ltd, presented a mock up of S320 CDI key to Mr.Gregory Meadows(right), General Manager of The Conrad Bangkok.

The Conrad Bangkok has launched its new limousine fleet, comprising 18 Mercedes-Benz S320 CDI and two Easy Riders, under the concept “Exclusively S” with a total investment of 200 Million Baht.

“Exclusively” has always been a word used to describe The Conrad Bangkok’s service style. The “S” stands for the new 18 Mercedes-Benz S320 CDI (New Model         W 221), the Mercedes-Benz SLK200 sports roadster (launched in November 2006) and the 2 new Easy Riders which are specially ordered city scooters.

“It was time to upgrade our limousines and we continually strive to enhance our guest’s experience, even before they arrive at our hotel. In Bangkok traffic, ample leg room and high-quality in-car entertainment are vital in relieving any stress, We believe our new Mercedes-Benz limousines will bring guests to our hotel in a relaxed and happy state. This is the very first impression that our guests get from our hotel and we want it to be one they remember.

The SLK 200 was launched at the end of last year and is still the preferred choice for the single business traveller with minimal luggage.

Our new scooter is the fun one and was actually suggested by our guests as the fastest way to get to the BTS. And we charge the same as a public motorcycle ride!” says Mr. Gregory Meadows, General Manager of The Conrad Bangkok.

The S320 CDI (New Model W 221) has been upgraded and modified from the standard version exclusively for The Conrad Bangkok and provides total guest comfort during the ride.

The Rear Seat Entertainment System was selected from the S-500. During the ride, guests can choose to watch the Bloomberg News, local channels or enjoy the sights of Thailand from a Tourism Authority of Thailand DVD. A range of movies are also available.

The hotel has replaced the standard Mercedes Benz Audio system with the Harman/Kardon LOGIC 7® DTS surround sound system which has 14 speakers and provides a truly amazing audio experience. Selections of music have been installed.

The 9-spoke light-alloy wheels 18” have been selected from the S-500 to replace the standard wheels of 17” for a much smoother ride.

The specially ordered iPod Interface Kit which operates from the multi-function steering wheel will be loved by our music loving guests. This kit also provides access for all MP3 devices.

Each S320 CDI is equipped with GPS, Tracking Systems, In-Car Entertainment, Internet Access and In Seat Massager! The whole project which includes 18 S-Class, 1 SLK-200, 2 Platinum Scooters, special training, uniforms and accessories costs 200 Million Baht.

DaimlerChrysler Thailand has confirmed that The Conrad Bangkok is the first hotel in Thailand using S-Class S320 CDI (New Model W 221) for its hotel limousine service and that The Conrad Bangkok has the biggest fleet in South East Asia.
